Most likely.

BUT.....

Ben's only spinning their powers about 9 to 11 times a week (while filling the rest of the time with "whatever we feel like"), whereas as Mix spun their powers anywhere from 40 to 60 times a week.<P ID="signature">______________

The problem with Ben is that it doesn't jump out at you and make a statement. The mix format is fine, but you can't mix just anything! Led Zeppelin to James Blunt doesn't work for most people, as their ratings prove.

I think Ben has one foot in the grave...and the other? Yup! Banana peel baby!

Having worked for MIX it felt like we spun the powers 40-60 times a shift. That Enya song was hell.

In the 12+ ratings, the variety hits format has proven better than the hot AC format of Mix 95.7. I was never a big fan of Mix because the station sounded so stale. They had such a tight playlist. That's why it is refreshing to have Ben-FM because of the wide variety. Their top 10 songs may be pretty much the same if they were still Mix, but it's all of the other songs that are mixed in (no pun intended) that make the station different. Funny how the station had the name Mix for so long with such a tight playlist. Then, they finally expand the playlist and have a REAL mix of music and drop the name. But, they wanted to start with a clean slate.
