John Masters - WRKO Newsguy

Andy Moes

"Disco" Vinnie Peruzzi

Sonny Joe White

Jimmy Mack - WBCN Music Director
incredibly funny in the BCN hallways when I delivered records.
Very nice guy.

All of the above were talented and professional. It would be nice
to see some anecdotes from people who knew them.

The list is probably longer than any of us dare imagine.

Sunny Joe White god rest his soul, none more influential on the sound of Boston and arguably AMERICAN radio.

Another now-deceased local radio legend was Carl deSuze of WBZ-1030, who spent some four decades at that station, most of that time as morning DJ.

We can't forget Norm Nathan, a true pioneer of radio in its early days, later a fixture on WRKO, and then a fixture weekend overnights at WBZ.

One of the first people I worked with in this industry. The stories, the laughs, the youthful spark in his eyes, even in his later years. If you never heard Uncle Norm, you really missed great broadcasting.

A real Veterans Day memorial Re: Best Disc Jockey or Radio Person who has crossed over...literally

Yes, Joseph, thank you for remembering deSuze. Brudnoy was left off my list in error - there are many greats no longer with us that we should remember to pay tribute to. A real "Veterans Day" memorial.

I'm sure there are many more we've forgotten. Was hoping people would put memories of Bud Ballou and John Masters up here - before their work totally
fades from view. Ballou's passing was tragic - cut down at an early age if memory serves. Anyone have insight on what happened - or playlists from the good old days?
