Yes this question has been a National debate for Years now. While I always will love both TV shows, in my opinion Bewitched was more believable, funnier, had better supporting Characters, and was more Magical!

Let's have a national referendum.

I always liked Bewitched better, even when I was a kid. Bewitched was trying to make a point, Jeannie was just silly. However, both Samantha & Jeannie were beautiful.

Although I always liked both shows, I prefer I Dream Of Jeannie, because Barbara Eden was and always will be the most sexiest actress on TV ever!

Everybody was great on Jeannie, not only Eden, but Larry Hagman who played Major Nelson who would of course later play nasty J.R. Ewing on Dallas, and Bill Daily who played Major Healey who would later be Howard Borden on The Bob Newhart Show and later a frequnet panelist on Match Game with Gene Rayburn.

Long live I Dream Of Jeannie!

Question for "Jeannie" fans

Weren't there references to Jeannie's character being from Baghdad?

Answer for "Jeannie" fans

Jeannie was born in Baghdad, Iraq, April 1, 64 B.C.
When she reached the age of marriage, her hand was sought
by the Blue Djin, the most powerful and the most feared
of all genies. When she refused his proposal, he became
enrarged; and in retribution turned her into a genie,
placed her in a bottle, and sentenced her to a life of
loneliness on a desert island. The centuries passed and
the girl in the bottle remained unaffected by time. On
Saturday, September 18, 1965, Captain Tony Nelson, an
astronaut on a flight from the NASA Space Center, Cape
Kennedy, Cocoa Beach, Florida, crash lands on a desert
island in the South Pacific. Seeking material with which
to make an S.O.S. signal, he finds a strange green bottle.
Upon opening it, pink smoke emerges and materializes into
a beautiful girl dressed as a harem dancer - a genie.
