BHT Morning show change and other morning shows in the market

Does anybody know what the listener reaction has been the Kidd Kraddick show on BHT? Also, what is the status of other morning shows in the market? I travel in and around the area and typically love the Froggy morning show.

I don't know what the listener reaction has been but the reaction here after a day with no replies might tell you something.

Not really, because these boards have never been a good meter for ratings success or failure. Not to mention the folks who use these boards are typically insiders to the biz. Very rarely is there a lot of passion about CHR. Just an observation.

Well, I am not a BHT listener---I knew Bill Sheridan back when it was Susquehanna and that's the extent of my involvement. HOWEVER, I did poll my kids (in their early 20's)----they never even noticed. They knew Jenn was gone, they thought the people were talking about weird things and places they've never heard of but had no clue they were completely out-of-market. Given the involvement of their listeners I would go out on a limb and say this may pretty much be the rule, not the exception.

Personally I listened the first day for two hours and got sick of people talking about places I haven't been to or don't know about.

The kids WILL notice. Familiarity will make or break it. Stations that focus too much on Scranton, Wilkes-Barre or Hazleton have a hard enough time let alone introducing totally unknown Texas towns.

By the way Latino...R U any relation to Chiahead? You seem to have the same opinion of people on this board.

No relation to Chiahead. I've just been around the business for a while. Since walking away, I have once again started to listen as a listener. I think like a former jock and programmer. I travel a lot. I still do some marketing and consulting and since I am based in Pennsylvania, but I write on other boards from time to time. I like to keep my identity to myself as it isn't thought of highly when people post on these boards. They good fun in my opinion.
