Ka-ching, Glenn Beck's contract extension has netted him $10 million a year over the next 5 years
from Premiere. He's not heard on a Boston station, at least not daily (WRKO was running a best of
Beck show on Saturday nights but I'm not sure if that's still on).
To their credit, WRKO is keeping it local during the late mornings with what is allegedly the Todd
Feinburg show (Todd has been filling in for Howie for the last month and a half, so we hear the
likes of Avi Nelson, Bob Hedlund, etc. instead). Beck however can be heard on stations in NH and RI
and I think Worcester too.

Rush, Hannity, and Beck are ranked #1, 2, and 3 in salaries and the Times says "(T)he salaries apparently mirror Arbitron’s radio audience measurements, which show that Mr. Beck is the third most popular radio host in the advertiser-friendly 25- to 54-year-old demographic"
If 'RKO were to lose Howie (doubtful but who knows) after all this they could either stay local in late
mornings or perhaps pick up Beck.
Some syndie hosts aren't heard here though a few were picked up recently: WTKK picked up
TRN's Phil Hendrie for overnights while TRN's Tammy Bruce is now on WNSH.
Still not heard:
Beck, Premiere
Dennis Miller, Westwood One
etc.
Of course local is still the best way to go but syndie can also help (would 'RKO ever dump Rush? Maybe
only if Premiere took it away from them!)
Suppose CC/Premiere did decide to make 1200/1430 into a mostly syndie talk station (cheap to run),
though maybe they're making money with Rumba: who knows. Anyway, could you see...?

--Beck
--Rush, pilfered from 'RKO
--Hannity, grabbed from 'TTT
yeah, who knows, something we've speculated for years. Anyway, Beck's making big bucks
big bucks no whammies, stop! as they used to say on Press Your Luck. And if you really want to
hear him in the area there are those stations from slightly out of town
from Premiere. He's not heard on a Boston station, at least not daily (WRKO was running a best of
