Big D Radio feature in Tallahassee Democrat Feb. 7:

I read it too on Feb 7th and I hope u get an LPFM station soon but I guess it will be hard to find since we have alot of LPFM in Tallahassee and other stations in south GA comes to Tallahassee as well.
 
A very nice story Alan! I hope your dreams come true in the near future! I still hold out hope I will own a station (or maybe a few) in the future. I would love to be the guy who could come in and put a spark into Jacksonville-area radio. I am not about appeasing share holders. My goal would be to make the station(s) LIVE & LOCAL as much as possible. Some say it takes money, but you have to spend money to make money as they tell me.

If I got my hands on a cluster that included a country outlet, I would order an expanded playlist with hits going back to the 70's at least with a smattering of classic rock hits thrown in that are country in nature at the same time, but not overdone. Also at the same time I would seek to get an Oldies/Classic Hits station back on in the market and program it with a huge playlist that sounds fresh and upbeat and not the same 250 songs over and over. Heck I think JohnJax did a nice research project a year or so ago on the format with songs that could work well.

Anyways that is just me dreaming there for now.

Alan, very nice article. You know I will help you however I can. Focus not on raising the money. Don't beg for money, raise the money.
