The bottom line is that good or bad as a dj, at this time in history, makes no difference. The main objective for CBS-FM and the other CBS o & o classic hits stations is to get bodies to sit there and work five hour shifts for lower money than djs did in the same markets 30 or 40 years ago considering the value of the dollar. The next step will be total automation for each station with the possible exception of morning drive. It's all about lowering costs. If quality mattered, there would be no five hour shifts and no automation. All you djs that are self promoting on here, it won't make any difference no matter what you do. The unemployed will stay unemployed no matter what your previous track record was. The employed will work long shifts for low money by historical standards until they are also unemployed. This is a shrinking industry with not a pretty future.
