offtopic non-radio response/rant

it's a private business, he can ask you to order in any language you want - it's not like you're forbidden from speaking other languages in the shop. from what i've heard he also has a sign up with the "cheesesteak lingo" to speed up the order process - therefore doing it in the lingo in english only makes sense so the orders are taken as fast as possible and the line doesn't get long.

oh, and the sign's also been up for over 8 months and people are just noticing NOW when the media shitstorm starts.
