Bill O Reilly is reportedly getting out of radio to focus on TV

WILK recently put the Radio Factor back on the air at 10pm M-F. Now reports out say that he's done with radio in the 1st qtr 2009. What do you think WILK should run as a replacement? Will the shows for the "Tin-Foil hat crowd" make a return to this slot? My thoughts are to run Laura Ingraham as a replacement in the slot? Any other thoughts?

He did work with Uncle Ted and has mentioned a couple of times on the radio show and I believe in one of his books.

Wilk should put Fred Williams back on the air so the listeners can hear about TMI and the evil teachers union 5 days a week. How boring they can call the show somanex radio

I think Uncle Ted started in the back office, became the spokesman for a dairy. Is that right? I'll have to find my tape of the early days of tv. Then he bought a fez and did the tv thing.

Uncle Ted started out as head copywriter for WARM way back when, from there he spent some time at WDAU(present day WYOU).

The dairy you reference was likely Purvin Dairy, among the last, if not the absolutely last dairy in Luzerne County to use horse drawn milk wagons. I believe they had a couple in regular service into the early '60s.

Ted "Uncle Ted" Raub was a highly decorated WWII vet who was always reluctant to discuss his military service, and never made any attempt to parlay his heroics into a "career." He was one of the nicest guys you'd ever want to meet.
