The advantage of having them digitized online is the search function. I use it all the time.
It is a lot of work to do that, but nearly everyone who goes to the site uses the different searches.

I have one server with dual CPUs. It is hard to beat other sources that have vast server arrays and those chips with a hundred cores or more, but I try by making a lot of the searches individual magazine specific so they can "answer" fast.
You can't do that with the physical magazines.
And in this case, the seller has chopped up the mags to sell the pages, mostly ads for well known artists. They can get $25 each for some of those, while single issues from the 70's and onward go for $12 to $30 each... do the math.

I was just given, free, all the Billboards from 1961 to 1980 in pristine condition. Three trips in my SUV to LA to pick them up. A really nice collector loves my site, and wanted me to have them. I am going to re-scan all of them to get better definition and OCR quality.
