Biz Television Coming to Dallas and Houston

Glad to hear this is coming to our area. Interesting that it will be an english language network carried in the subchannel of a spanish language station. Aside from some infomercial subchannels, we don't have another spanish primary/english secondary full-power station in the market.

Probably worth quoting the channels from the article:

Dallas/Ft. Worth KAZD 55.3 (coming 3/11)
Houston KYAZ 55.3 (coming 3/11)

Incidentally, I noticed today that KAZD 55.2 is no longer a simulcast of 55.1. It's now infomercials! Just what DFW needs ::)

Small correction to the article in the Houston market, KYAZ-Katy is Ch. 51 not 55. There is no 51.3 subchannel currently, while KTBU-Conroe's Ch. 55 has Spanish religious programming at .3. So, come March 11th those in Houston looking for the launch may want to check 51 and 55's subchannels.

Hm. I read it as "March of 2011" rather than "March 11." But you could be right.

Actually Trip, you are probably right. March 11th is a Sunday which would be a seemingly odd day to launch a business network.

Actually, it's a friday. Still not quite a logical day for such a launch.

Just got an e-mail back from Biz TV and, sure enough, it's March 11th.

KAZD added subchannels 55.3 and 55.4 yesterday. As of last night, 55.3 was running Spanish-language infomercials and 55.4 was a blank screen ::) Presumably this will change tomorrow

KYAZ turned on 51.3 and 51.4 today. The same programming is airing on all 4 subchannels right now.

The EPG for 55.3 says Biz TV, but it is simulcasting 55.1 right now.
55.4 says LATV but is blank.
