Blogger reports a graphic sex commercial during today's Good Morning America

I've heard nothing but terrible things about Betrayal (the show in that image). A whole bunch of nobodies in a show that will get buried by The Mentalist and SNF in the ratings at the same time? It will get thirteen and out for sure, if it even gets that many episodes.

Even if I'm not a fan of most of the FCC's policies, if that image actually aired this morning, I don't care which network it aired on. No, you don't show that before 8pm, especially on a broadcast network.

If only there were a mandated technology that could protect the wee ones.
We could call it a V-chip.
It would solve all of the ills in televised media.

Christ, people bitch and are outraged about everything nowadays.

How about leaving the boob tube off?
Morning network news is pablum anyways with zero substance.
You grow dumber by watching it.

This. I'm actually more offended that she would post the screenshot of the offending imagery along with a photo of her kids, with no warning or anything. So that's ok? With something like that, you post a link to the offending picture. It's a Christian mommy blogger it looks like, not that I want to say they're all alike, I really don't want to. but stuff like that does'nt help their stereotype.

Yeah, somehow we've got to find a way to shut all those Christians up. They keep reinforcing the stereotype we put up for them.

Exactly why I only watch CBS and Charlie Rose. There's NEWS on there, NOT talk about the Kardashians, NOT talk about what happened last night on Honey Boo Boo, and give me a break, FEW lifestyle segments. It reminds me of the evening news.

Nice of the so called good Christian folk to not only repost the screen shot, but provide a link to the clip on You Tube.

Now more youngsters will have the oppotunity to have that image "burned into their brain", while ABC execs smile over the increased hits on their sites as well as the publicity.

Way to spread the word.

I hate puritanical, crybaby watchdog groups like the Parents' Television Council as much as the next guy, and believe there should be less censorship on television. To play devil's advocate, though, I also believe the networks should show a bit of tact and avoid broadcasting things like simulated sex and sideboob at 8 am. If that makes me a prude, then so be it.

After posting the above, I read through the woman's blog, and she seems slightly nuts. No one will take her seriously if she continues to use the phrase "soft porn" to describe the ad. She also lamented that the image is "forever etched" on her son's brain. I still don't think the ad should have aired during the 8 am hour, but jeez... overreact much, lady!

What I don't get is why groups like that don't agree with the content they think NO ONE should watch it. They bring more attention to the show than if they would have just let it go. The Fosters is a show on ABC FAMILY a group tried to stop it from airing because it is about a gay couple raising a family. Well it just got picked up for a 2ed season. people need to remember times change. if she is so offended by this turn off the tv. Should that ad have aired at 8am? Maybe not, but it is not worse then one would see in a magazine ad. People need to chill.

But! But this country is undergoing slow moral decay! We need someone to enforce some moral standards, dammit, and they just so happen to be the exact same ones I grew up with! Today it's a few glimpses of nipples, tomorrow it's raping and murdering right and left!

Amen Brother Morgan! And don't forget the concubines!

I'll agree there's two sides to this story BUT if this woman is offended by what she sees on TV at 8:00 AM, she [DEFINATELY doesn't wanna see what some WOMEN post on Twitter. Here's an example

Cheers & 73 ;D
