Bob Kevoian, co-founder and long-time co-host of The Bob and Tom show

"INDIANAPOLIS — An icon in Indianapolis and national radio has died.
Bob Kevoian, who co-hosted "The Bob & Tom Show" for 32 years, died Friday, April 17, the show announced. Kevoian, who had been battling cancer for the past three years, died peacefully at home Friday afternoon, the show said. He was 75 years old"

This is the loss of a generation. Bob and Tom had millions of loyal listeners all over the U.S. They made morning rush hour great, filled with humor. Welcome to Heaven, Bob. RIP

I had never heard of Bob and Tom until I went to college at Toledo in 1996, and a guy who ended up being one of my best college friends grew up in Fort Wayne so he was a huge fan of the show. Once it came to Toledo in 1997, I could see why. Got hooked pretty much immediately, and when I moved back to Columbus in 2000, I streamed the show a lot of mornings on Q95 because it wasn't carried locally. I remember so much about those skits in the late 90s and still use some of those lines in conversation today.
It was always neat to hear the Indianapolis-specific portions of the show too. Tom in particular got so annoyed for whatever reason, and to everyone else's amusement, when mentions of Q95 or Indy made it into the national segments.

That was something else. "How many times can we say Q95 in 90 seconds"?
I heard the Bob and Tom Show as a local Indianapolis show; they started in 1983 and I moved to Central Indiana late in the year. I'm not going to tell you I was a daily listener, but the greatness of the show was not to be denied....and that went triple during Indianapolis 500 month. RIP Bob.
