It depends on what deal they made when Bongino left. And if he really wants to do the work of a daily show when the real cash cow is the podcast.

From what I'm reading, Bongino knew the government gig was short term. So I imagine plans were made for some kind of return.

Right now it seems like Cumulus is looking to cut costs for all their shows. So they may not be able to afford Bongino anymore.

Good point. Also since Bongino is a bit of a loose cannon they might prefer to not have that exposure on the broadcast airwaves.

I'm enjoying Derek Hunter afternoons on WMAL.

I suppose the domino effect of Bongino returning to his original slot would move Vince back to afternoons on WMAL.

Nothing wrong with Vince, but Hunter is a bit calmer and quite entertaining.

Now Barrett Media is reporting that Bongino won't be returning to radio. Just the podcast:

This appears to be a video podcast as opposed to a radio show. Two very different things.

If I wanted to add it to my automated streaming schedule (which I don't) I doubt that I could. A "preset" would still require a sign-in or an extra click if I'm not mistaken.

At least the 10-Noon schedule makes it "live" so he can take phone calls.
