Boston Pops Concert On The Fourth of July: A Reason NOT to Watch !

It was announced here in Boston that Dr. Phil will be hosting the national part of the broadcast of the Boston Pops 4th of July Concert next Tuesday.
Dr. Phil !!!! They have to be kidding. But No!

Better bet to turn to PBS in your area a watch "A Capitol Fourth" With Erich Kunzel conducting The National Symphony Orchestra.
He is a much better conductor than Keith Lockhart who is bringing the Boston Pops to new lows. He choices for guest artists for the regular Pops season are getting soundly panned for no talent.
Time for Lockhart to move on to Colorado where he conducts part time.
Maybe his latest gal-pal is out there.
Keith, don't let the door hit you on the way out. Bye!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  :( ??? :p :-[ :-\ :'(

Hasn't CBS (I think that's the network that is covering it.) learned that Dr. Phil

can't draw when it comes to ratings?

WHAT ARE THEY THINKING? ;D

Also, Dr. Phil is associated with self-help. Taking him out of his element to host the Boston Pops concert is flirting with disaster, just like Paul Harvey appearing on stage with Kiss.

Dr. Phil is an idiot and not even a real doctor.
Who the hell even watched his crap show?
The only reason it is on is because Oprah forced it on us.

The CBS version has been unwatchable ever since the network took it over from A&E - too much fireworks and recorded music, not enough Pops and festivities.

Surprised they don't bill it as "July Fourth with Dr. Phil Plus A Song or Two from the Boston Pops Orchestra."

Perhaps the good doctor can do psycho analysis on the people who shoot the fireworks and explain to viewers why people feel compelled to do that for a living. A pyro-sexual thing, no doubt.

Phil can thank Oprah for his instant fame. But this, too, shall pass.
