Boston radio ratings: who’s hot and who’s not (Demo)

RKO getting creamed: Finneran 16th of the 16 listed; Reese and Rush in last; Howie in last (Jay
beating him). While RKO doing half decent with 12 plus, they are close to dead last in 25-54.
Good job Jason and Julie! (Yikes, I still like Howie but are the "phoning it in" people proving
their point?)

paula abdul had a better night than lazy howie, the empress and napoleon by a long shot....imus has an audience and national sponsors. howie will have a kowloon dish named after him, a hall of lame nomination and a timebuy show on sunday nights on 1060 or 1600.

maybe philly radio boyz can call up john henry today and have him roll wrko into one his tanking hedge funds. you can bet on cyclope's shiny dome that some equity firm buying 680 and trashing the whole place. howie will be left standing at the wellesley dump in his ripped gap t-shirt and jeans searching for entercom stock certificates pretty soon.

Does this mean that Dennis and Callahole, and Dale and Holley can no longer claim to be #1? Or do they have some special demographic just for them?

they still can. they're #1 with males.

severin has to admit that carr is his abandoned child. he acts like howie's daddy when it comes to ratings.
whose your daddy, howie?!

D&C Claim there #1 Morning show in Boston this morning , and then D&C went on to Trash WGBH .

Thats funny... Opie and Anthony were saying that they "did very very well in Boston" and that they "Left man town in the dust" but it appears from this that WAAF beat WBCN in morning drive? Did BCN beat them with Males? Also in every other category they went down to #15 but in afternoon drive they did not, where did Toucher and Rich come in?

Why, yes, they do. It's called MEN, which is not exactly unusual for a sports talk station. In fact, when you rank as high as they do in 25-54s, when they are essentially kissing off half the demo, their across-the-board male numbers must be awe-inspiring.

Regards,
TSB

O&A beat Mantown in A18-34, M18-34 and M18-49. Mantown beat O&A by 0.2 share points in A18-49.

T&R beat Mistress Carrie in all four demos...no worse than 8th.

93-7 Mike FM appears in all dayparts. I hope this silences the notion that Mike should flip to something else because their ratings are too low.

Jam'n #1 in virtually every damn slot. WHEN will someone step up to the plate to take a piece of this HUGE pie? Seriously, a 7.0?! 12+? 25-54? 18-45? I just don't get it.

It's rule #1 in Boston radio WBIMDJ: zero rated formats are tolerated if the programming is targeted to Caucasian suburban males. Frequencies shall not be wasted on formats popular with minorities even if they pull better numbers than stations no one is listening to.

And you must be David Duke . Its a Shame that A avg. Station ( Jamn ), is gettin High ratings and Nobody is challenging Jamn . Like I said before , When tiny Daytimer Nash/WILD 1090 was on , Jamn did not get these Huge Numbers , like they are gettin Now, and Tiny Daytimer 1090 was getin' better ratings than WBCN,WAAF, and WBOS. Radio One ( I see Sh--Heads ) Blew it .

He's actually quite right. While other stations barely get 2's and 3's, Jam'n and Kiss continue to bill 7's. How long can it go on before a higher up goes "we need to invest in this format". I don't buy the whole "that company doesn't do urban." If I were that company I would LEARN how to do it, get a piece of this damn big pie...seriously...a station like Jam'n doesn't have to exist..and pull HUGE numbers while everyone sits on their asses and wonders why their sub par station doesn't perform. The proof is RIGHT THERE!!

#1 12+, #3 A25-54, #1 A18-44.

True they were #3 25-54, but they also billed higher, a 7.5!!
