From All Access Net News(August 17th):

Changes have begun as FINEST CITY BROADCASTING takes over from CLEAR CHANNEL at Top 40/Rhythmic XHTZ(JAMMIN'Z90)/SAN DIEGO. According www.sdradio.net most of Z90's air staff has been let go, including the morning team of ROXY AND THE MISFITZ. ROXY(aka DELANA BENNETT), JAMAL, and producer VIC CABELLERO had been handling mornings since SEPTEMBER 2004.

San Diego? Can we possibly see a Reggaeton station in the works?

It would make no sense to me for them to go Top 40 Mainstream.

A Z90 update.

That's the million dollar question there. And now that Rick Thomas is back at the PD helm he may have something up his sleeve for Z90, plus I believe he'll keep the station Rhythmic under the new changes once Finest City takes over the programming in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile a pair of Z90 jocks will stick around a while longer as night guy Tre and parttimer Kalvin re-up with the station.

And not to mention Robert, Longtime XHTZ jock Billy Blast who crossed over the way to do Afternoons at rival XHMORE, now returns to Z Afternoon Drive!

And will Z make other changes too? Could we even see the possibilty of some dance back on Z, if only for a Late Sat/Sun night mix show ala Powertools and mabye a aqua net mix during the week? Hmmmm, we will just have to stay tuned.
______________
