Oof. According to the article the late Emmy winner was also vaccinated for COVID-19 however he has either got an unrecognized immunity defect or got a new variant given that the article says he got a breakthrough case.
"Bridgerton" hair and makeup designer Marc Pilcher died of COVID-19 three weeks after winning an Emmy for his work on the Netflix series.
Pilcher, 53, had no underlying conditions and was "double vaccinated," according to a statement provided to Variety from his agency, Curtis Brown. The agency told USA TODAY the statement also was approved by family and friends.
The award-winning designer traveled from the U.K. to the U.S. to attend the award ceremony last month, where he won an Emmy for outstanding period and/or character hairstyling. He had multiple negative coronavirus tests before taking flight, according to Variety.
