Broadband on my laptop to listen to radio.

thinking about getting a broadband card for my laptop. curious though, can you get them with unlimited use or do you have a limit on how much you can use it? Im looking to get it to listen to some on line radio, but I dont know if it works like min on a phone, where Im limited to 1000 min a month, or if they have unlimited plans. also, what would be the best service for somthing like this? any input would be appreciated.
 
Most of the major carriers have gone to a flat monthly fee option for unlimited internet access $40-50/month and charge only a nominal price for the card typically with a 2-yr contract. Sprint is advertising a $99/month unlimited voice and data package and with family plans better deals are to be had...it's a good time to shop as pricing trend for wireless is toward unlimited plans for all services (texting, data, voice)...on an AT&T family plan I got $30 unlimited data for a Palm Centro and $30 unlimited texting for 3 phones...
 
If you're getting the card just to listen to the radio its cheaper monthly to get a PDA phone with Windows mobile and use that (at least with Sprint, their data plan is $15 a month).

However make sure the data card or phone uses Rev A EVDO just so you can avoid buffering problems. Sprint sells two phones with Rev A (Mogul and Touch) and I believe all their data cards are Rev A now also. Not sure about Verizon's offerings but their data cards should support Rev A by as well.
 
i use sprint pcmica card & listen to internet stations with no issues, u need edvo a and if u get in a edge area, its as good as dsl. i have also broadcasted my internet from a live spot upstreaming with the same card. $59.00 per month unlimited
