Byron Allen is notably known for managing KITV, KHSL, KNVN-TV. Also at one point Allen media was named as candidate to take over Tegna Owned stations like KXTV Sacramento and KUSA-TV is now named as a candidate to get the Broncos.
Huh? KUSA and KTVD will stay with TEGNA following the Standard General buyout. Only the DFW, Houston, and Austin TEGNA stations will be spun to Cox under the current sale agreement. And with KUSA & KTVD now up for sale (Even though they're going to go to Cox barring some MAJOR miracle)
That's why I said "barring some MAJOR miracle"Huh? KUSA and KTVD will stay with TEGNA following the Standard General buyout. Only the DFW, Houston, and Austin TEGNA stations will be spun to Cox under the current sale agreement.
In your post you stated that KUSA and KTVD were going to Cox, which is not true at the moment. WFAA, KMPX, KHOU, KTBU, and KVUE are the only TEGNA stations heading to Cox ownership under the impending Standard General deal. KUSA and KTVD will remain with the privatized TEGNA, although, yes, there could be a future sale that changes that, which is perhaps what you were implying. That's why I said "barring some MAJOR miracle"
Did you not READ that part BEFORE hitting REPLY?? 😈
The last part is EXACTLY what I was getting at. If Byron Allen buys the Broncos, I wouldn't be surprised if Allen Media makes a play for KUSA & KTVD tooIn your post you stated that KUSA and KTVD were going to Cox, which is not true at the moment. WFAA, KMPX, KHOU, KTBU, and KVUE are the only TEGNA stations heading to Cox ownership under the impending Standard General deal. The wording of your original statement comes across with a different meaning than you might think.
