Caitlin "CJ" Johnson Exits “93Q” KKBQ Houston

How long can an old radio station call themselves new?
Forever. They play "new" songs, do "new" contests and talk about "new" things.

Buzzwords and hyperbole are covered in the first chapters of any advertising textbook.

They now go by “Houston’s Country Leader, 93Q”. I assume they still can’t use “93Q” on its own, because every single break I’ve heard uses the full slogan, often multiple times in the same break.

They need to have such a long tangled word salad that confounds folks both working there and listeners. If you’re voice tracking anyway, just record the phrase once and paste it in where needed. Over and over again, if needed, for the remaining listeners still tuned in.
