CALLER AIRED CALLING PRESIDENT A F*#@ING N-WORD ON RUSH RADIO?

I know it was early, but am I mistaken in hearing a caller refer to Obama as a "f#*#*ng n-word" this morning on Greensboro Rush Radio? Did anybody else here that or do I need to go see my doctor to check my hearing?

Go to the Doc...that ain't what he said!!!! I didn't hear it myself but heard that it only sounded like that. Move along. ;D :-\ :-X ::)

You weren't listening, but you heard it sounded like? That wasn't the question, and because you weren't listening, you should go back to sniffing the mic. I want to hear from the loyal listeners. Because if I did hear right, CC could have a FCC issue on their hands I do believe.

You didn't..It's ok and I'm not mad. Let me say oficcially, welcome to the board and nobdoy ain't mad at you for nothing. ::) :D :D :D :D ;D ;) :) :) :-*

??? Welcome? Not new to the board. But again, if you didn't hear it, why are we having this dialogue? You must work for CC. Not an issue for me one way or the other, we live in a country that allows freedom of speech. I'm all for people having their own opinion about issues....but that's also why public forums like radio and tv are governed with rules about what you can say or can't say on the airwaves. Not for me to judge, just thought it was interesting hearing it......and yeah, I did hear it. BTW, how do you know it wasn't a female that said it since you didn't hear it? :'(

Go ahead and provide your audio recording of it and I'll admit you're the grand prince of being right. Til then, tuff stuff, Gov'nah. It didn't happen and you have a non issue about nothing. (by the way, 6 posts makes you new to the board, so again I offer a heart felt hand of welcome to ye!)

You are a pathetic toady of Clear Channel. I heard it, too. This is not over. That is a promise, snapperhead.

If it was Rush Radio, and it was early, dang what are the odds that anybody was listening?
I hope you posted this on a million boards. Otherwise it'll always be a riddle wrapped in an enigma wrapped in a conundrum.

It's kind of a bad sign that no one heard it. The Flynn experiment may not be working. As a side note, the obscenity would also have been broadcast on an over-the-air television station licensed by the FCC as well (that would be WCWG-TV). The correct answers, if you're filling out the form, are "approximately 7:50 am", "WPTI-FM", "Morning Rush with Bill & Pam". Y'all fill that thing out careful and do one for the teevee station too, ya hear?

PS: People filing complaints don't need to provide recording of obscenity. The station MUST provide that to the FCC when the inquiry is investigated.

Here's the deal .... yea .... it happened .... but no one heard it .... we're still new ..... listeners are low .... call-ins are fewer ... we messed up, but ... it looks like we're gonna be ok. No worries.

Interesting my dear Watson......

Look, I don't care one way or the other. Only been in the area for less than a year. When I heard it, seemed strange to me and I just thought this market is looser than any I've been in and the rules are different. What I do know is the FCC doesn't care why it happened, because as professionals, the broadcasting company knows that preventative measures must be taken to avoid fines and license challenges. That's programming 101. That's Radio 101. Yes, people do make mistakes, but not those that cost what I've been able to research today behind this to be potentially $300k +. And a local TV station was carrying the broadcast too and vunerable if anything comes of this? Wow! I can't imagine if there are any African American employees on staff in the building how they could possibly feel about this. I won't even get into potential community ramifications. Tough lesson for anybody if it happens, especially in this economy. Sniffthamic, you're right about one thing, I don't post here, I'm here to learn about the media market and to keep up with industry trends. The number of people who have read this thread speaks volumes about this being a topic of interest, so I don't feel that I was wrong to ask the question. Just seemed strange to actually hear that on the air about the chief executive of our country whether you agree or disagree with him.

"We"? You're not out of the woods yet. If someone fills out that complaint form I posted earlier, you won't be ok.

In case you missed it,

On channel 20 this morning, Bill and Pam's words are not in sync with their mouths. They are posting a graphic that says "We are experiencing technical difficulties". It is as though someone is using DELAY! There is your smoking gun, boys! J'accuse!

UPDATE: Late in the show, Channel 20 got the words to sync up with their mouths and took the "technical difficulties" graphic down

I just heard the exact same thing on FM talk 101!! How could they let it happen right after this may or may not have happened?????? What are the odds??????????
