CALLER AIRED CALLING PRESIDENT A F*#@ING N-WORD ON RUSH RADIO?

I just heard the exact same thing on FM talk 101!! How could they let it happen right after this may or may not have happened?????? What are the odds??????????

u got the recording, guvnah?

I stand corrected, sniff

Getting reports of MULTIPLE complaints to the FCC. Next up, kids, a little thing called a Letter of Intent (LOI) and that should be delivered soon to the licensee. Just a little advice boys: Don't engage in the cover up. Take your medicine. The Commission does NOT play

IF NO DELAY
THEN U MUST PAY

(Johnnie Cochrane)

Sniff, how much did Clear Channel get for your soul? Do you have a soul? Do you have a heart, a liver A SPLEEN??? You are what is wrong with this industry. You snicker and laugh while bigots are allowed to spout obscene racist slurs against our president. It does not matter if you are a Democrat or a Republican. The man in the Oval Office deserves better.

I hope the FCC slams Rush Radio and that pathetic cringing weasel Bill Flynn. His response to that racist was weak.
[EDIT-profanity and inflammatory content]

Keep in mind, it was the caller, not Bill that made the statement.....I know what will be will be with the fcc, (poet...didn't know it!) but you guys need to cut Bill slack on this one..too bad some dumb&$@ caller doesn't have to play by the rules too.

I think Bill's management totally screwed him because I don't think that studio had delay until Thursday morning. Won't matter, though. They always fire talent. Management never has to pay for their sins.

They actually have another problem. The title of this thread is incorrect. The caller was not describing the president. Clear Channel could clear that up, but THAT would require admitting the indecent remark went out over-the-air. It's a conundrum, ain't it, folks?

I don't care whether you're Republican or Democrat, I don't want to hear anybody speaking about the Chief Executive of our country like that. I didn't hear it, but if I had, I would be breaking my neck to fill out a complaint form. CC will need to be accountable for this. I hope it DOES get reported. That's just irresponsible and extremely offensive.

Thanks whoever posted this, I just filed a complaint. White trash like this doesn't need to be on the radio. Anything to silence these right-wing racists. President Obama is the head of this country, and deserves respect. This is disgraceful. I hope the FCC fines them out the a__!

For what it's worth..and that's pretty close to nothing with this group...I am a life long conservative who had issues with both Bushes. I won't even get into my feelings about Clinton or Obama. This is the wrong forum for it anway. BUT I draw the line on this kind of crap directed to the commander-in-chief of this country. It is wrong and there is no place for it on the radio. As a 47 year old white male I should be right in the gunsight of Rush radio but I listened for a week and (except for Rush himself) turned it off. IMO anyone who listens to that stuff all day long is nuts, clueless or has no life. JMO.

I do wonder why none of the local media has reported this story. I would think a newspaper would've had at least a blurb about it by now. I've not heard the audio myself and all my Clear Channel guy will tell me is that it was a woman and the comment wasn't directed towards Obama. They're being pretty tight lipped about it over there, that's for sure. I'm just shocked that local TV and newspaper isn't covering this. Especially if they're running without a delay over there and still taking phone calls!

I would say the reason that this isn't making any local headlines is because no one is listening to this show, much less watching it on the CW; the whole "if a tree falls and no one hears it, does it make a sound?" theory is in play...

It's 'amateur night' for any radio station running without a delay...period...callers are just too much of a wild card as the people at CC found out in short order this past week.

The Bush "gunshot" bit on liberal host Randi Rhodes' show comes to mind...

I guess CC thinks the same formula that worked on all the hot talk stations with Stern in the morning would work on the Rush front.

New development - don't know if it's related or not, but I heard the Chief Engineer and the Operations Manager have been "let go" at CC Greensboro. Both have been there many, many years. I hate to see people lose their jobs and I can't imagine another reason why they would be fired. Anyone know anything?

I heard that, too, and also that Kim Pyle had been fired. Don't know if it's true.

Saterfield and engineer Ted Levin out. Kim Pyle still there. Tough deal, but how in the HELL do you have a Talk station and no delay? CC can spin it like they "took tough action"...but cutting a couple bills in salary prolly helped that decision.

Isn't Tim Satterfield married to Angie of the WTQR morning show? That would make things kind of strained, wouldn't it?
