CALLER AIRED CALLING PRESIDENT A F*#@ING N-WORD ON RUSH RADIO?

I don't suppose this is related, but a couple of weekends ago I bumped into the wire going from the antenna to converter box no. 2, which stays on Fox 8 for "Roy's Folks" so that when the time comes all I have to do is turn the TV on (or, if I had a VCR that would do this, set it to tape; the other one connected to digital TV is committed to "The Simpsons") . I apparently pulled the wire loose from the box because it was a nightmare getting the good signal back. And just when I thought I had done it, I turned on the TV March 31 and saw a frozen image of someone standing in front of the logo for Rush Radio (and a frozen picture means no sound). I fixed the wire as best I could and went back in the other room but couldn't really hear anything. I was lucky to hear Roy when he came on, but whatever the story about Rush Radio was, I didn't hear it.

I tried to fix that wire again and THIS time I hope I got it, but I'll know in a couple of hours. No, Fox 8 is not on my cable system.
So are you saying the delay system on Rush radio is hooked into the cable system and no reception means no delay? So this is Time Warners fault? Huh, is that what you're sayin'.
Huh?

A story about Rush Radio apparently aired on Fox 8. Because I live outside the area where they are on cable, if I somehow mess up my antenna I can't see what the story is, even though there is an image of the Rush Radio logo left over from a few seconds earlier when the antenna worked. I got the antenna working right again, but even by going to the station's web site, I don't seem to find any stories about Rush Radio.

Fox 8 has been running commercials for Rush Radio. Could that maybe have been what you saw?

With a man standing in front of the logo, immediately before the theme music for the 5:30 news?

I'm pretty sure they put stories there.

I wish they'd bring back the accordion music for Roy Ackland. I usually don't realize he's on until I hear his voice.
I believe they do have commercials there after all.

Sorry to bring this back, but I clicked on it accidentally when the page scrolled down unexpectedly.

Real shame they don't have an engineer anymore. You can tell since often I hear 2 things playing at the same time.
Mon morn, 5-17-10 12:30 am is a prime example. Wonder what the local clients would think of this. Someone looking to completely KILL them could take this info to the 'bank'. This has been going on for weeks and weeks. ;)

That's funny you mentioned two things playing at once.

I work nights now, not in radio ;D,

This had to have been atleast a month ago but it was around 100AM in the morning and 94.5 was just complete dead air. My entire 25 minute ride home, just dead air. You would figure some people would have gotten pissed....Coast 2 Coast does draw some listeners....

then again maybe it was a UFO interfering with the signals

Yup, hearing dead air too. Also hearing local drops playing over what sounds like a bumper to a show, (even on Rush) and you can't hear the local stuff. Levels way way off. VERY unprofessional. I guess that is what you get when you are a crappy company that finds any reason to let good people go. Now only the crappy ones are left.
