Canada orders probe into Rogers outage as doubts creep over C$20 bln Shaw deal
The Canadian government on Monday ordered a probe and demanded telecoms companies agree within 60 days to develop communication protocols to keep people better informed, after Rogers Communications Inc suffered an unprecedented outage.
Rogers is one of Canada's largest TV and internet providers. They are Canada answer to Comcast and At&t.

Rogers Communications Inc will be crediting customers with the equivalent of five days service, it said on Tuesday after the Canadian telecoms operator suffered a major outage that paralyzed the country's banking and emergency services last week.
