All that comes to mind are CHMP and the Rogers FM's in Atlantic Canada, which of course were approved. Perhaps you can refresh my memory.
Has anyone ever tried Young Male oriented hot talk (Like CBS's old Free FM) in Canada?

I do recall the former 1350 having a very short life as a talk radio format, but I honestly do not recall if the 107.7 FM repeater (in Oshawa Ontario) was up and running during that time.
I think it only surfaced when the all oldies format came to be, so I can't drag that station in as an example, unfortunately.
