BC Vancouver 98.3 new Will become CIRH (Roundhouse Radio).

OFF THE AIR
ON Quinte West 99.3 CIQW Low power unprotected FM station was forced off the air when CJPE 99.3 in Prince Edward County was launched. Will have to find an alternate frequency.

CRTC & IC DECISIONS

TECHNICAL CHANGES GRANTED
ON Tillsonburg 88.7 CBCL-1 Decrease power from 2,060 to 1,320 watts (8,810 to 1,320 watts Max. ERP). Lower antenna height. Relocate transmitter. Change radiation pattern from directional to non-directional.
ON Wasaga Beach 97.7 CHGB Increase power from 200 to 700 watts (347 to 700 watts Max. ERP). Change radiation pattern from directional to non-directional.

DENIALS
MB Winnipeg 92.9 new Commercial. 1,800 watts. Multilingual. Gill Broadcasting. The CRTC felt that Winnipeg could not support an additional Ethnic station at this time.
ON Brechin-Ramara 96.9 new Commercial. 8,900 watts (25,000 watts Max ERP). Soft AC. Evanov. The CRTC expressed concern that the proposed station would have a negative impact on existing stations serving neighbouring markets.
QC Montreal 107.9 College. 100 watts. Nested repeater for CJLO 1690 Montreal. The CRTC stated that the applicant did did not demonstrate a compelling technical need to justify the proposed amendment.

ON Creemore 106.3 Developmental Community station. 3.2 watts. Variety. Clearview Community Radio. CKAW calls have been reserved.

PROPOSED AM TO FM CONVERSIONS
ON Stratford 1240 CJCS Move to 107.1 with 900 watts (4,000 watts Max. ERP). Format will be Rock.

PROPOSED TECHNICAL CHANGES
ON Dryden 100.9 CBQH Decrease power from 100,000 to 1,300 watts. Lower antenna height. Relocate transmitter.

CALL FOR COMMENTS
ON Burlington 88.5 new Byrnes Media has applied for a new commercial station with 80 watts (350 watts Max. ERP). The CRTC is not convinced that the Burlington and Hamilton area will be able to support an additional station and has issued a call for comments regarding the application.

Byrnes media is going to have fun! The CRTC already has their doubts about a new station @ 88.5 FM, which means it most likely won't happen.
