CBS 5 NEWS KENT DANA AND CATHERINE ANAYA ARE THEY BEING REPLACED.

Does It seem that Kent Dana and Catherine Anaya are away alot from anchoring the evening news at CBS 5 NEWS. I've noticed they have Sean McLaughlin on alot for Kent Dana and they have Nicole Crites (AM MORNING ANCHOR) on for Catherine Anaya alot. I wonder if CBS 5 is trying to get a winning anchor team together since Kent Dana is aging and is gone alot. I wonder if Catherine Anaya contract almost up ,and they are not thinking of renewing her contract like they did with anchor Susan Sullivan they let go not to long ago. They need a winning anchor team like HOOK & LAKE (FOX 10 NEWS) or COONEY & CURTIS (12 NEWS). So hope CBS 5 finds a great pair of great anchors.

So far, they have gotten rid of Christina Wofford and DIANA Sullivan recently. Nicole Crites is not evening anchor material. If they are not going to renew Kent and Catherine, they should have kept either Christina or Diana.

I have also notice Catherine Anaya missing from the evening news on Channel 5. Either things are not going well in her personal life or she has a significant amount of vacation time. I actually enjoy Nicole Crites filling in, but that has got to be hard on her working one day on the early shift and the next day on the evening newscast. KPHO used to say when they were #1 for newscasts. I always thought it was Diana Sullivan who helped get those ratings but I could be wrong. Things are not going well at KPHO and maybe it's time for a new evening co-anchor. I wonder if they would be interesting in getting a new evening male and female co-anchor to break things up for Kent Dana. Well maybe that is what Sean is doing. I personally don't care for the Catherine/Kent pairing, I don't see chemistry.

Read the really small print next time one of those 4-5 second boasts airs.
The disclaimer is often a 4:30am/Noon show from three or four days prior.
Obviously a consultant thing.
Technically true but very misleading.

As for pairing, I liked when Sullivan and Anaya were the readers

I'm not sure what's going on there but KPHO would be totally nuts if they let Catherine Anaya go. Besides being a good anchor, she's the only Latina filling that role at an English-language station in this market. She would be picked up instantly by any other major station in the West/Southwest. Diana was good too and that was a mistake to let her go.

Kent Dana is the one that needs to hit the road IMHO.

Anyone know what Diana Sullivan is up to now? The current show is terrible - Sean is terrible, as well as Kent. Katherine is OK. Katherine and Diana togather was the only pairing that worked
