Ok we all know Hunterdon county is in the ny market but apparently the CBS advertising folks do not know that in most of hunterdon county specifically Frenchtown and Milford you cant get WCBS FM only WBEB and its a good signal. There where 3 signs two on route 12 just east of frenchtown but where changed last week the remaining one just south of Milford. 101.1 where back....... ::) anyone who tunes looking for CBS fm in their car is going to get soft rock B101 from philly LOL maybe they are targeting commuters who travel closer to the city during the day.

CBS-FM billboards in Hunterdon County

There's another one on Route 22 just east of Route 523 in Whitehouse Station. B101 from Philly plays havoc with CBS-FM in that area as well. Talk about wasting your promotion dollars!

Hunterdon County is in the New York DMA for TV but beyond all markets for radio. CBS-FM flipped back to oldies 8 months ago so those CBS-FM billboards are getting long in the tooth.

CBS owns an outdoor advertising company, which tells me those CBS-FM billboards are up there for little or nothing. Clear Channel does the same thing.

Another on Route 130 in South Brunswick at about the point CBS-FM Finally is starting to overpower B101.

A lot of times those billboards are a package deal and you don't really get to pick and choose exact locations. Instead you just get blanket coverage over a certain region. My guess is that's what's going on here. I've seen this in other markets where stations have billboards across a metro area but don't have full signal coverage over the whole region.
