CBS is getting out of the radio business -- who buys the Phoenix stations?

Mother Hubbard? TMISU? Somebody who wants to get into the market? Spun off to a standalone company?

Probably what they did for Outdoor - spun off to a separately traded company that CBS shareholders would hold a controlling interest in.

I think you're kind of overstating their intentions. Phoenix has been on the block for probably 8 years, and they haven't found anyone willing to pay their price. I'd agree with the previous poster says about a spin-off with CBS retaining interest.

Some major tax issues for See B.S. on many of their long of tooth properties. Horse trading and a spin-off to shareholders is probably how most of the stations will go. However, they'll look at offers...but fasten your seat belt, as they want top dollar. A lot of talk about Entercom wanting more than a one station cluster in el A. But their mindset may still be on the smokin' deal they got with Lincoln Financial. Here in the Valley, only Mother Hubbard is a likely player...but again, at what price does it make sense?
