CBS Radio News Closure: Effects on WBZ and Boston

I’ve heard Deborah Rodriguez reporting for 1010 WINS.

WINS in NYC never carried the CBS Radio newscast at the top of the hour, not even overnight. But CBS anchors would do a few reads for stations to use. That's what WINS would air. And WBZ would air them as well. Rodriguez would record a few of these stories each day. She'd do them between newscasts. The other CBS anchors would do them too.

Now WINS and WBZ can only choose from correspondents' reports from ABC and AP.

When I heard Deborah in the middle of last week before CBS News Radio shut down, she did NOT mention CBS News; she said "Deborah Rodriguez reporting for 1010 WINS".

When I'd hear her on 'BZ, it was NEVER during a TOH CBS newscast, since 'BZ didn't carry them, except overnight. But she always said at the end of each of her reports carried by 'BZ "Deborah Rodriguez, CBS News", not "Deborah Rodriguez for WBZ Boston's News Radio".

My point is that her new home may be, like Wayne Cabot's, at 1010 WINS and maybe ABC News.

I'm also aware that WINS NEVER carried TOH newscasts from either CBS or ABC. When WCBS was blown away, the CBS Radio TOH newscasts went to Bloomberg's WBBR.

I think your confusing CBS Radio News and CBS Television News. It's Radio News that CBS has cancelled.
I am NOT confusing CBS News Radio with CBS TV News.

CBS News 24/7 and CBS News - Boston are made for TV, as I discern from how the reports are worded. To me, neither is well-suited for RADIO.
