cbs radio phx: Has there been a worse era (error?) than right now?

that sinkhole in fla a couple weeks ago looks like a dimple compared to that crater on central

kzon? losing to kkfr. too many coincidences here to mention

kmle? a small slice of competitiveness would never allow you to lose to knix for the last 16 consecutive months. another pd gone...(didn't know cbs dumped format captains?) "107.9 the fan'? nyc is dying to clear all that cbs sports network inventory in market 16.

kool sitting outside top 10 in demo for much of the last yr. worse yet...kool's brand is dead. lost behind kez, mix and peak...no longer iconic. but hey, the new logo may turn it all around.

fact is: the clusters ratings have never been collectively worse. judging from the turnstyle in the sales dept....the revenue is in the same shape.

a wise man told me the following: "watch ...jeff england and smokey rivers are headed to the stations on central...they know how to win".

I warned 'em about changing up KOOL-FM. We oldies lovers are a dedicated bunch and don't take lightly to shifting demos.

KEZ HD2 is doing a great job with 60-70-80's and KOY on the Internet is equally good if your taste runs a bit wider and older (too much Sinatra though).

Seems I've heard this before. Someone claiming the domains had been bought, and CBS Sports radio was gonna land on that freq in short order.

Seems I heard that last year. About July if I remember correctly.

Still no sports on the 107.9.

I'll believe it when I see it. As long as KMLE is profitable, they will play country music.

But, then again, this is CBS we're talking about.

KZON is KZZP's competitor, not KKFR. KZON is focused on the big bucks Kiss brings in and they beat them right now in all key demos. KOOL is still one of the better 25-54 performers for that format.
