CBS Sports Radio coming to 107.1?

Sounds like we'll be hearing some Sports soon on 107.1 instead of Automated New-Country.

Maybe WNNK has some contractual obligations so they couldn't start airing the network on January, 1st. That could explain the delay.

The February 1st date has been posted here for a couple of weeks. Where did that date come
from? What was the direct source? Was it just a guess? Still not exactly a done deal yet.

As you'll recall mxyzptlk posted that the delay to Feb 1 was due to GM Alan Goodman leaving Wilks. Mxyzptlk's predictions have been quite accurate, IIRC.

Long time reader of these boards, but I finally registered to post on this.

I know that it is all but certain that this flip will occur, but another piece of evidence deals with their contests right now. They are qualifying people to win tickets to upcoming concerts by explicitly directing them to K95.

From their Facebook page: "We'll give you the OK to switch to our sister station, K95.5, for the next few minutes! Why? Because you can get qualified for the trip to Vegas for the Academy Of Country Music Awards! Happens before 4!"

I guess if you're not planning on still being a country station by the end of the giveaway, this makes perfect sense.

They could just take K95 back to a New Country format once they drop Wink. Sounds like it's not if a flip will happen, but when.

I posted that their plans were "on hold." I never gave the Feb 1 date.

Sorry, I should have double-checked first. It was Buckaroo on 1-18, and I suppose even that could have been a guesstimate rather than inside info.

New GM coming .....maybe the wait?

A new Sales Manager is coming, no more GM.

The flip will happen but a few pieces they were working on may not fall into place.

Does "a few pieces they were working on" refer strictly to 107.1, or possibly other station(s) in the cluster too?

Not sure what is going to happen at this point, somewhat surprising. New GM is there now, wonder how long? I believe it will happen, but now the question is when?
