CBS Sports Radio coming to 107.1?

Torg will be good on Q-FM, and it should give the morning show a boost. I wouldn't be surprised to see him do a 3pm-6pm on 95.5 against hos former station. I can't see Wilks not getting the full bang for its buck.

The Motor Racing Network who distributes the programming still show 95.5 / 94.1 in Columbus, and being that this is a sports station i would think it safe to bet that NASCAR is on 95.5theGame

I hope it is 3-6, and I hope eventually Ricordati comes over. I really miss their show (I know they were goofs, but that was part of the charm) and loved the brief reunion on 92.3 in Cleveland a few months back. I am sure 97.1 will do everything they can to keep Ricordati though.

I think it's a big experiment. Success with Elliott? I feel a lot of sports fans will be confused once they play a Tom Petty song...double duty means burnout.............Elliott is a franchise, and knowing the company they may be thinking "transition" out for him since they don't have a history of investing in their product. I see a leak coming...

Ohio State Football & Men's Basketball -WBNS-FM
Ohio State Baseball - WBNS-AM
Ohio State Women's Basketball - WBNS-AM
Columbus Blue Jackets - WBNS-FM (& WWCD-FM)
Columbus Crew - WTVN-AM
Columbus Clippers - WMNI-AM
Cincinnati Reds - WYTS-AM
Cincinnati Bengals - WYTS-AM
Cleveland Indians - WBNS-AM
Cleveland Browns - WBWR-FM
Notre Dame Football - WMNI-AM
NASCAR - 107.1 or 95.5

Are there any other sports that could change stations? Could the overflow Jackets games move from CD102.5 to 95.5 in coming seasons?

What about high school sports? Could 95.5 cover Central Ohio football and basketball?

I hope the Dial Global broadcasts move. 95.5 should be able to clear most of them. Now, it's whatever 97.1 can squeeze in, and the rest go to 1460, if there's room there. The only reason we got all the NFL games this year was the Blue Jackets were locked out.

Here's something odd. I noticed while flipping to 955 the Game that 95.5 has turned of the stereo while it's 94.1 translator still runs in stereo.

Must be a recent change.. Earlier this week 95.5 was still running Stereo.

I wonder if Columbus is one of the few markets with multiple stations in Mono.. 98.9 The Answer is in Mono, 103.9 News Radio is also in mono.

Tell me about it. We went from 4 country stations to 4 sports station when you include the Fan, 1460 ESPN and Fox Sports 1230.

And I went from 4 country stations that I don't listen to, to 4 Sports stations I don't listen to. Meanwhile, I flip though everything else trying to find something decent to listen to.

I think you've summarized the experience for 90 or more percent of radio listeners in this market.

NASCAR was on 107.1 and not 95.5. I too figured that 95.5 would be the logical place. Too bad for me as 107.1 doesn't have near the push to the southeast as 95.5.
