fredcantu said:93.3 was carrying Paulino Bernal's format. IF 98.9 was doing the same it's basically an all-satellite format. Everyone hears the same thing. Announcing the change in SA would just confuse the listeners up and down the network.

Unless they had Clear Channel or another station do it for them and translate that station for a day, that's a blatant violation of FCC rules. Translators aren't allowed to originate their own programming unless they translate an AM daytimer, in which case they can originate programming after the daytimer signs off.
Now, whether or not the FCC would find out is anyone's guess. However, it would be an extremely serious violation if they got caught!
