It's "Signed on as..." since it is a brand new radio station from scratch, and not a format change.
Evanov may be making a mistake. (in respect to the cookie cutter...)
CTV already has some Energy FM radio stations up and running in Canada.
This will make it difficult for potential in other markets, should Evanov choose to buy other existing stations out there and change their format to Energy.
Now, not that this would happen, but who has the rights? Is it simply first to the name change? OR can there be a lawsuit?
What if CTV wants to go with Energy 104five instead of CHUM FM, but Z103 wants to become Energy 103five?
I mean, I doubt that would ever happen, it's just an example...
