Ch 5: Reese Hopkins to box Lynn city councillor?

That was hilarious.

"I'm counc-lah Rick Ford. Tell that BLEEP ta come down tha club .... I'd like ta pound his head in."

Reese is 6'-5" -- Councilor Kojak doesn't stand a chance.

I was born in Lynn and went to Classical High but grew up in Nahant and now live in Beverly.
"I'm From Lynn, What Can I Say"--humorous folk/rock song by Don White. Spoken: "Now what is
in Nahant, you ask? Well it is a little island of incredibly rich people (not necessarily..) who are
so cursed in life they they can't go anywhere without driving...DIRECTLY THROUGH LYNN!
(Laughs maniacally) I feel so bad for them!"

12 years ago I got assigned to work in Lynn against my will, after a 4 year posting in Roxbury, also against my will.

After ONE day in Lynn I begged my employer to send me back to Roxbury.

If they were going to give the world an enema, they'd put the tube in Lynn.

It is the classic example of everything that is WRONG with America, The loss of manufacturing ( first shoes, then most of G.E.) led to the middle class leaving the area, resulting in plummeting property values, and don't forget the influx of illegal immigrants and an increased crime rate.

Lynn is such a hell hole the Hells Angels moved out. G.E. tore down buildings rather than pay taxes on them knowing they wold never use them again. Sylvania moved out, G.E still does some manufacturing there, and Marshmallow Fluff is made there, but everything else has left, and can you blame them.

The new Lynn Classical High School is sinking into the ground, the city is suing the contractor, the contractor sued the city, the people who had their land taken by eminent domain sued too.

The city just rolled back the closing time of all bars and clubs to 1 A.M.

WFNX moved out of Central Square... and I can't blame them.

The Lynn City Council is nothing to be proud of either. Great minds on that board... say something bad about my city and I'll beat you up.

I'm going to love to see Reese go clean that politicians clock.
