Channel 10 Cuts Short Saturday Today Show for 1/2 hour Car Infomercial

It's 8 am Saturday morning and as I'm about to enjoy my first cup of coffee I turn on Channel 10 to watch the weekend version of the "Today Show" only to witness some loudmouth salesman pitching cars for Dorschel Kia. What gives I'm thinking? Is Channel 10 that desperate for revenue that they would cut an hour out of the Today Show Saturday just to make a few extra bucks carrying this horrible 1/2 hour car commercial? Apparently so. It will be interesting to see if this was a one time event or that 10 will pull this again in the future. Some advise to 10's management. If you are that deperate to make money by airing these infomercials, then why not put a few on your weekday early morning and noon news shows. You know the ones that 13 and even 8 garner a larger or equal share of viewers.

I noticed the same car dealership was on at least 2 or 3 local Rochester stations at the same time. I didn't give it much thought at the time and just kept going on the remote. Maybe this was an organized marketing ploy to monopolize all the locals at the same time. I have seen it done in Syracuse.
