Channel 300B, Sacramento, California NOTICE OF RESTRICTION ON A CONSTRUCTION PERMIT

Rubin is one of 3 (I think) organizations that filed for all 130 allotments. As expected, EMF is another one.

Potential incomplete applications for 107.9:

Bonneville
Results Radio
Entravision

They don’t put which allotment(s) they selected, but for at least the first two companies, you can bet it’ll be for Sacramento and they don’t strike me as the types to not correct a deficient application...

There's quite a few "complete applicants" who chose "all" CPs (!!): Colt Comm, Adam Crotty, EMF, FMI Media, Michael Fragnito, Brian Henry, Point Eleven, Relevant Radio, RxDIO.com, Smile FM, Sonic Staffing, SSR Communications.

I dont expect a small michigan company like Smile FM or a small mississippi company like SSR to be bidding on licenses far afield. Smile FM has one in Arkansas but thats about it.

Id say EMF and Relevant Radio are the most likely ones to bit on quite a few

Hypothetically, one of these far-flung "bidding companies" like SSR or RxDIO.com wins the Sacramento allotment, what then? Build it out and sell for a big profit? Sell the CP for a smaller profit? My question would be, why bother with the pricey allotments like Sacramento, Ft. Walton Beach, or Pembroke/Savannah, GA when you know you're likely to be out-bid by the big boys?

Some additional info:

Brian Henry seems to be the owner of Henry Communications in Napa
Michael Fragnito seems to be a publisher of Christian books in NYC with a bit of experience as a big-wig in the secular publishing industry.
Adam Crotty seems to be an executive with Local Voice Media -- a group that owns several stations in coastal VA and NC
Touchdown Ventures seems to be based in SF. It's CEO has experience in broadcasting, especially as an executive with RadioOne
SSR is the gentleman in Mississippi who has been pushing for the class C4 designation.
Colt Comm appears to be Rob Rudnick, based in Newton, MA and owner of WNTN-AM

(Nothing I could find on Software Compositions)

The thing not being discussed in this is what role groups representing minorities or women will have in this bidding process. The FCC is under some pressure to improve the statistics in broadcast ownership.

At the end of the day this is an auction, so there’s going to be many parties interested in the license in the instance they could get well below market value, similar to real estate.

With that said the only 2 serious contenders I see that would have the cash on hand are EMF and Bonneville.

I'm rooting for Bonneville. Unfortunately, Cap Radio checked off Non-Com which got their app rejected. Of course, EMF is playing the Commercial Card now and if granted will change it.

Click on "application search." Confirms that Bonneville is applying for the Sacramento station, only.
Also among the incomplete applications: yep, CC Licenses = iHeartMedia, for Sac only; similarly, Results Radio, Entravision... I didn't search through all the incompletes.
