What are the channel number locations of any and all OTA main channels and subchannels on your local cable system(s)? (Both SD and HD versions).
Are there any systems that actually carry subchannel netlets on channel numbers below 100? (Few do).
Here in Chatham, I am served by the Springfield, IL Comcast headend. It's a former Insight system so the "non-national" channel numbers are a mess IMO. Netlets are SD only.
Our OTA main and subchannel lineup (SD channel shown first; HD and "national" channel numbers at end). Plus public access.
--WICS Springfield (ABC 20.1) Springfield (HD 908 & 1020)
--WCIA Champaign (CBS 3.1 or 49.2 in Springfield) (HD 912 & 1003)
--WBUI Decatur (CW 23.1) (HD 914 & 1023)
--WRSP Springfield (Fox 55.1) (HD 910 & 1055)
--WSEC Jacksonville/Springfield (PBS 14.1) (HD 916 & 1014)
--WAND Decatur (NBC 17.1) (HD 906 & 1017)
--WILL Urbana (PBS 12.1) (HD 917 & 1012)
--WCIX Springfield (My 49.1 or 3.2 in Champaign) (HD 918 & 1049)
--Create (WSEC 14.2) (also on 1151)
--Create & World (WILL 12.3) (also on 1159)
--Stadium (WBUI 23.3) (also on 1182)
--MeTV (WRSP 55.2) (also on 1168)
--DABL (WBUI 23.2) (also on 1181)
--Ion (national feed, also OTA on WAND 17.3) (also on 1421)
--PBS Kids (WILL 12.2) (also on 1158)
--PBS World (WSEC 14.2) (also on 1150)
--TBD (WICS 20.3) (also on 1178)
--Comet (WICS 20.2) (also on 1177)
--Bounce (WCIA 3.3) (also on 1183)
--Grit (WCIA 3.4) (also on 1184)
--Court TV Mystery (WCIX 49.3) (also on 1172)
--Laff TV (WCIX 49.4) (also on 1173)
--Antenna TV (WRSP 55.3) (also on 1169)
--Cozi (WAND 17.2) (also on 1190) (former location of 24/7 weather channel from WAND--still goes wall to wall radar and NOAA weather radar during warnings)
Charge! is also available in our market via WICS 20.4, but Comcast has never carried it in the three years since it first appeared locally. It could logically fit on channel 422 (and who knows where on the 4-digit national lineup).
IMO it would make sense for netlets to appear on cable locally between channels 73-99 (the highest numbered traditional "Digital Starter" channel is TV Land on 72). Rather than scattered througout the lineup.
