Channel Q Expands To Five New Markets And AM In San Francisco

Entercom has announced that KGMZ-AM will get the Channel Q Brand along with other cities in this announcement.

The network, which will continue to be be heard on 97.3 KLLC-HD2 San Francisco also will be heard on 1550 KGMZ replacing the simulcast of Sports “95.7 The Game” KGMZ-FM. KGMZ joins 103.1 KQPS Palm Desert/Palm Springs and 103.3 K277AE Seattle as primary signals carrying the programming.

The five new HD markets for Channel Q are:

103.7 KVIL-HD3 Dallas
105.9 KALC-HD2 Denver
96.5 KRBZ-HD2 Kansas City
98.1 KXSN-HD3 San Diego
94.7 WIAD-HD2 Washington DC

I listened for a little while on the RADIO.COM app. It's okay, nothing great. But they at least seem to be marketing it (unlike iHeart's "Pride" radio.) I also found it odd that the commercials on the app were for LA (and possibly Palm Springs) businesses. Doesn't really help them in Kansas City, Denver, etc.
