Charleston 100.5 - 105.5 - SBR Consulting - conflict of interest?

I am looking at AAA and Alternative stations around the country. The 2 latest entries in the #1 and #2 markets (NY and LA) are both consulted by the same firm SBR, out of Boulder Colorado. Needless to say, neither station is faring too well. As I go through SBRs list of Stations they consult I notice they consult both 100.5 a Clear Channel station, and 105.5 the bridge LM Communications here in Charleston.

Is this this a conflict of interests? (Unless they consulted 100.5 the drive before the flip from AC Drive to The Drive of now. even then..) Station owners wouldnt hire a PD to program similar stations (target demos) for 2 different companies and most likely would try to use a non-compete to keep one apart for at least a year after such a move. Most wouldnt even let a talent work a different format for a different company. So why would you allow a consulting firm to do the same?

Any thoughts on this situation?

SBR ran an audio stream for The Bridge...We discontinued using it.

Never was a "consultant" and I don't think that Clear Channel uses consultants other than their brand managers.

So no conflict if they are consulting The Drive, but not sure that they actually are doing it.

Yeah Im looking at that...its not on 'a' webpage, its on SBRs own webpage...interesting...

My experience and understanding is consulting firms list their clients on their own webpage, sort of their resume, so prospective clients can see who they have worked with, and looking at the list I know for fact SBR is the consulting firm for RXP and the Sound.

Im wondering if they are working with The Drive, or are these guys just seem to be listing random stations around the country? I really dont see how a list of stations they have no affiliation with on their own industry webpage would be relevant. IMO somthing like that would be at the least amature hour...at worst, misrepresentation of their product.

But since doc confirmed that SBR no longer has a work relation with The Bridge the situation is pretty m00t.
