I am sorry to inform that Charlie Gibson, my friend and former producer of the Rock 30, passed away Sunday evening May 3.
Charlie toured with many national acts including Tool, Jamie Foxx and Beyonce most recently. He had been working in the concert biz for several years in Austin and San Antonio including some of the biggest shows in Southpark Meadows' history...remember Pearl Jam and Rage Against the Machine?
Charlie also produced my syndicated show "LA Lloyd's Rock 30" for over two years....sometimes while he was actually on the road on tour. He would produce the show in a mini-studio he built in the cab of his 18-wheeler. His professionalism was always top-notch.
The funeral will be Saturday May 9. Here is the notice from his mom, Pat Gibson:
The services will be at 11AM on Saturday at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Dripping Springs. It is on RR12 on the south side of town. Please pass this on to any of his friends in the music industry who might want to come.
