Charlotte-Gastonia-Rock Hill Radio Ratings: November 2023

I don’t see anything changing anytime soon. WBT has been on 1110 for over 100 years, they’re a cash cow and they’ve been #1 in prime within the last year. I don’t see a problem.

107.9 benefits from being WBT’s sister station, even with garbage ratings. They’re usually #2 in the cluster for billing, and there have been times where they’ve beaten both WKQC and WLKO in revenue.

Gospel has been on 100.9 for 20 years. They don’t make a lot of money, but they do well in some areas, like political.

Status quo for the near term.

If more folks had an HD Radio they could listen to WBT on 107.9-HD2. I like this format, but unlike HDTV it wasn't implemented or promoted very well. But basic rabbit ears pull in HD Radio reception very well, just dial down the amplifier if you have one. I can listen to WBT on 99.3 or 107.9-HD2 here in Spartanburg, using an Antop 800SBS antenna connected to the FM port, with the amplifier midway boosted. This is a good antenna for both TV and radio reception with adjustable amplifier. Pulls in most major GSP and CLT radio/TV signals. WBTV, WCNC, and WJZY are very strong TV signals here, but also get WCCB and WSOC 9.1 and 9.5 Crowder's booster. And pulls in the FM radio signals excellent.
