The owner of 95.7 the Ride took the liners from the old Big WAYS and put them on one of his AM stations which plays 50s and 60s.

I'm sure they're not making any money targeting 70+ year olds on an AM station

Well, let me quote an email I was sent by someone who works at the station. Or worked. I think I got a response from someone different recently.

"Big Ways does not make money. It is a labor of love to keep great music of the past on the air. We are fortunate to have 3 stations in the same building to keep our costs low."

I totally respect Dave Lingerfelt, owner of WAIZ and 95.7 the Ride for loving radio and doing what he wants. I'm sure the Ride supports the other stations. And I would think many of the big radio groups have tried to buy 95.7 and he has turned them down. Same goes for WBRF FM in Galax, VA.
