The stations that you have posted represent 80.2% of the available listening audience of 12+ persons. I hardly see this as a wholesale failure of teresterial radio.

I hope you are not assuming that satelite radio is bigger or better or more successful. Virtually every single person hears radio at least some time during the week, and it's a figure that has not changed since the advent of satelite radio.

There are clearly a lot of radio stations, hence the pieces of the pie are small. Competition makes for great radio. Smarter sales people, more talented jocks, more creative marketing professionals and savvy managers.

Nobody can't buy these big time or these big boys out!
if you were to referring to the small little ethic radio stations
that we don't won't here in chicago to begin with,
I would say that I will buy half of them out and turn them into
nostalgia adult standards format!
Well we can get rid of the score WSCR AM-670, because we have
too many sports radio stations anyway, and just call it
"Interstate Radio" the home of the best music of our life!!!!...

This is all 12 plus I take it. The real place to look is the money demo of 25-54. I'd say if I were WLS I'd take a good hard look at what I have on the air. All the pumped in right-wing talk isn't working. Let's see what WGN does now that the Cubs are out of the picture and WCKG is in bad need of a good morning show and some outside promotion.

Golly Gawsh,

With all them dropping ratings you'd think the audience was on vacation or something.

You quoted overall ratings.

Steve once again led WCKG and performed well. The rest of the station is DOA.

That is akin to a discussion of Major League Baseball, and you chiming in that the Schumburg Flyers won the Northern League, or some such.

Dahl has been useless for years. As for the rest of the station....wait, what's worse than useless?
