CHRIS LANDRY WAS IMPORTANT PART OF FSR FOOTBALL

I hardly hear Chris Landry anymore on FSR. Man he was good. Better than all the NFL analysts on on ESPN or Fox. I know he was accused of plagiarism last year. Then he dissapeared for awhile. Came back now he has dissapeared again. FSR has not duplicated what he brought to a broadcast. Now I find myself listening more to ESPN radio...

landry has been on the last two days - the myers/hartman show and today with one of the weekend duos. he should be back on more as the football season starts. he was great as always. hopefully, he'll be back on the saturday/sunday nite shows with fricke. the suspension was warranted but akin to the cowherd suspensions from a few years ago. it will be a good fall if landry and maller back on the regular schedule.... espn radio will ok again on the weekend mornings with the return of the college football show. ryen russillo is decent. he's best with the nba but ok with college football. the regular weekday espn schedule is beyond reproach. can't the mid 90's espn radio come back somehow...

Apparently Landry copied parts of columns from Mike Lombardi and Andrew Brandt of NationalFootballPost.com and posted them on Sportsnet.ca .. I've listened to Landry for a couple of seasons on FSR and why he would copy something from a couple of nobody's like Brandt and Lombardi who run a Website no one cares about is beyond me. Landry is the most compelling analyst I've ever heard on the Radio or TV when it comes to Football. He responds to questions in REALTIME where plagiarism is not possible. So to hell with Lombardi and Brandt.

That's what you do if you're smart about it. You don't rip off Bill O'Reilly or Larry King because everyone knows who they are, you're less likely to get caught if you rip off a nobody from a blog.

The show Fox ran last year on weekends with Fricke and Landry was great...I was hoping it would return...no offense to Maller.

landry and fricke are on weekends 6am eastern for 3/4 hours - preview shows for college and pro ball. so far, its a decent show but the time slot is rough. they were better in recap rather than preview mode.

in any case, its refreshing to hear landry break down actual players/teams/programs. his style can be a tad pedantic and sec biased but he's solid, informative and candid.

That time slot is rough. FSR should at least swap the Sunday Fricke/Landry show with that awful fantasy football show they run from 10a-12p. The only thing worse than fantasy football programming is handicapper/tout service paid programming.

yeah, landry "broadcasts" from his home studio in baton rouge - isdn lines.

he was on point this morning and sounded great analyzing favre's return to green bay and recapping nccaf games.

his opinions and insight (albeit pedantic and narrow at times) are more refreshing than the usual jock blather that passes as analysis on espn, fsr or other radio outlets.

could we please get some decent analysis from some non-name non-athletes rather than the usual big-name no opinions from retired jocks? (e.g. keith law is good on baseball for espn and isn't afraid to say something).
