Christmas in July? Viable format switch? Will anyone tune in? Will advertisers buy?

I mean, Hobby Lobby DOES put up Christmas decorations around August or so. I thought that was insane - but there are people in this country who want Rudolph, Elf, and The Santa Clause before the first trick-or-treater arrives at the door on Halloween night, so....

There are people in this country who leave their Christmas trees, decorations and Santas up all year long. I think I've seen some of them on TLC reality shows. To them, Christmas is 'comforting'. And so is Andy Williams, Mariah Carey, and Ray Conniff.
Hallmark has their Christmas in July with the perennial favorite Christmas movies and 2 new ones premiering this month.

They used to call those: "freakshow contestants". Much like Honey Boo Boo.

Having a family member who has been a manager at Michael's, the Christmas craft supplies come out early so vendors who sell crafts can get started

Of course, much of Hobby Lobby's business is from people who buy craft items and spend months putting together their custom designed Christmas decorations and gift packages and other seasonal stuff.

There are year round Christmas stores in tourist areas like Branson, MO and Gatlinburg, TN. Also like was mentioned earlier, soon Hobby Lobby will be starting to sell Christmas decorations if it hasn't happened already.

I like Christmas music, during Christmas. Not in Spring, not in August and September, and certainly not in July.

And as for Hallmark, their Christmas fare is severely overplayed. They're currently running Christmas 24/7 for the entire month, and last year they ran it nonstop from early November until one week after New Years this year, and they ran it again for a week or two in February I think!

Nonstop from about the 15th of October to at least January 2nd, if not later. Thank goodness CBS doesn't do the same with their Rankin-Bass specials.
Kelly's right. Those that love Christmas 365 days of the year are 'freakshow contestants.' Kelly, what do you think about the contestants who sign up for The Great Christmas Light Fight on ABC? Are they also 'freakshow contestants' for 30,000 lights, talking Santas, synchronized Trans-Siberian Orchestra music and carousels around their 5-acre backyard? Just curious.
I don't want to see their power bill at the end of the month!!

What I can't believe is that she practically owned the Top 20 last year (if I'm not mistaken). Has that ever happened before?

That happened after the release of her album Midnights. Streaming of the album caused the Hot 100 to fill up with Taylor songs. Over time, those songs started to level off. But she still has three songs right now in the Top 30. Because the Hot 100 incorporates streaming, this happens whenever a major album is released. It happened earlier this year when Morgan Wallen's One Thing At a Time was released. Taylor surpassed Drake:
