According to Brian Maloney (once a local host in Seattle), Citadel - ABC Radio Ready To Hand Control To Lenders. I don't know if this matters or not locally.

KFNNradioFan said:It could, if programming genius Brian Jennings now in Bend, Oregon and author of Censorship is still is employed by Citadel making perhaps 6 figures by the company ;D I would like to get his new book Censorship
KFNNradioFan said:KOMO and KTTH are ABC affiliates owned by Fisher and Bonneville respectively. Not sure who owns KMAS.
KFNNradioFan said:I'd love to see Brian come back to Seattle and re-program KVI to increase ratings to what they were 15 years ago. I think Brian hired Kirby Wilbur (?) and sorry to see Kirby now OTA.
SeattleRadioPro said:Y'know, each post of yours just shows your cluelessness. Jennings left Citadel and now works for Larry Wilson (the former head of Citadel) who put together a station group in Portland. And I think many on this board would love to see you crawl back under whatever rock in the Southwest you crawled out of.

{KMAS is locally owned in Mason County}

I as well understand the 'Mountain range' reference as it means, stay far far away.
I have a comment and a suggestion. Although I worked in the Seattle market for many years,
I've lived in the Los Angeles market for the last 5. Citadel still has Hannity down here and I was told
specifically face to face by Citadel Management they have Hannity under contract for several more years.
That was a few months back, but I don't know if it has changed. Los Angeles is a very different market from Seattle,
but Citadel has recently invested in it's morning show here. (Frosty, Heidi & Frank) They are also on AM too.
Not sure of the future for them, but they are trying.....
A suggestion. Try and avoid concrete statements if you are not sure of something. Opinions are always welcome here,
but if you're going to "tell us what to do" Or tell us "how it is" check your facts first. This board is very forgiving
if you state an opinion or ask a question in earnest.

99.99% of the people reading this myself included do not know what you mean, because you are making a general statement. Please be specific.

Reality...not sure if your post was directed at me or not...but if you do a google search for Hannity...you will infact see that the ABC network does not syndicate the Hannity show...that money went to Premiere...that would be clear channel...
here is a quote...For the struggling Citadel - ABC operation, this news couldn't come at a more inopportune moment: it has recently reported huge losses and shares have fallen by 88% over the past three years.
Syndicated in over 500 markets nationwide, Hannity's afternoon drive show is said to bring in $35m in annual revenue, which will now be lost as Sean jumps ship. The program is considered to be the second- biggest cash generator in ABC Radio's network lineup, with his compensation at a reported $5m per annum.
