Citadel shuts down Dave Foulk's Facebook news and traffic updates

The hand writing is on the wall for the Einsteins at Citadel and they know it. That's why they are acting as they are. Sensorship plain and simple.

I'm really sorry for the good guys like Foulk, Philbio, and Tripple H. They will eventually have to pay for the mistakes of the corporate boneheads I'm afraid.

I really do not expect this to stay up for long but a few may get to see it.

There are some interesting comments on their *new* facebook page. Better check them out quick 'cause I'm sure they'll disappear in a heartbeat too.

Phil has a new page at The Phil Show - Newstalk 98.7 .

And a whopping 41 fans. I guess that's an indication of the signal's reach!

Dave Foulk has quite a fan base with his Facebook and Twitter pages, as well as www.foulknews.com and www.foulktraffic.com. Apparently, Citadel put the hammer down, in light of all of the listener complaints about no longer being able to hear the signal on his and Phil Williams' pages. Apparently they aren't allowing listeners to post on the new News Talk 98.7 Facebook page

Here's Dave's final "tweet," still online, posted yesterday at 2 PM:
http://twitter.com/foulknews

"Thanks for all of your support. Check in with Newstalk 98-7 for the latest news and traffic information, and listen for the new web address."

Farhad would have a worth national deficit if he was President. This IS certainly a joke. At least the people are trying to reach out. And they're being silenced. Sounds typical in 2010.

Just a few hours before Phil's Facebook page was taken down, I posted a comment in response to others who had been advising Phil to "tell 'em to increase power", etc. I said that the short, non-technical version was that it was impossible to significantly upgrade 98.7, due the fact that it would cause interference to one or more other stations on the next channel. Specifically, 98.5/Kingsport, 98.5/Cookeville, and 98.9/Spartanburg.

Later that day, I tried to access Phil's page and got the dreaded Facebook "loop" where you are returned to your own homepage. I just figured they had banned me. Didn't realize the entire page was taken down!

Musical Trivia..who had the hit record..
RUNNING SCARED?

Dave is a social media animal and a damn good one. No really, his FB stuff has been both funny and a times news worthy..but for the last few days it has all been traffic and at times weather or news. BORING. It was easy to see the mad men in the front office had their foot on his neck..but just like Obama jumping up to fire you know who then realizing he had stepped on his Richard...these out of town radio geniuses are just making themselves and their stations look paranoid and totally out of control.

Yep, damn fun to watch from a distance but sad if you have friends like Dave in the blender.

Dave is a good guy. I can't believe what the Citadel suits are doing to him but I can understand their position seeing all the negative comments about their decision to move the programming to a smaller signal.

I did notice there was a new Facebook page for "WNOX News Talk 100.3".
